The Work You'll Do
The Solution Architect, Integrations & Compliance Network will play a critical role in supporting Sovos’ go-to-market organisation by engaging with customers, assisting to understand and define their needs, and designing tailored solutions involving business network integrations and data flow management. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of EDI, business network and e-invoicing standards, data flows, and integration technologies, along with excellent communication skills to effectively support our sales and sales engineering teams in a customer-facing capacity.
More Specifically You Will
Provide domain expertise relating to the flow of data and exchange of business documents through eInvoicing and VAT reporting solutions across the leading enterprise software systems and application used by Sovos customers. Primary ERP’s include SAP S/4 HANA and Oracle Cloud. Additionally, the Solution Architect is responsible for maintaining deep knowledge of AP/purchasing and AR/order-to-cash solution processes and the association vendor ecosystem.
Primary responsibilities will require deep expertise of the Sovos eInvoicing and VAT reporting solutions, focused on expert-level knowledge of integration requirements across vibrant and evolving global requirements.
Actively lead the client discovery process to help uncover unforeseen challenges and ensure the proper Sovos data integration offering is being proposed across disparate enterprise software systems and applications. Lead and participate in technical discussions, providing expert guidance on integration best practices and strategies.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications. Create and maintain detailed architecture documentation, including system diagrams, data flow diagrams, and integration workflows.
Work closely with global Strategic and Enterprise sales teams to evangelise and present Sovos solutions as part of customers ERP and finance transformation projects. Ensure Sovos technical integration options align with customer’s functional business processes and global compliance requirements.
Assist in the creation of compelling and RFP and RFI responses for global Fortune 1000 pursuits.
Lead the creation of SRD and SDI materials to support the proper scoping and deployment of Sovos eInvoicing and Compliance Network solutions across a global customer base
Work closely with the Sovos Professional Services or external implementation partner teams to ensure a seamless handoff from sales execution to successful on-boarding of new clients
Maintain and continually improve industry knowledge and technical capabilities, conducting internal sales department training, external partner engagement, customer presentation preparation and customer-facing POC’s.
Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
What We Need From You
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
5+ years of experience in solution architecture and software integration, with a focus on SAP or Oracle. Big 4 experience is preferred.
Extensive knowledge of eInvoicing standards and frameworks (e.g., PEPPOL, UBL), VAT compliance requirements across different jurisdictions, and EDI standards (e.g., X12, EDIFACT) and protocols (e.g., AS2, FTP, SFTP)
Ideally, experience from working as an employee with a multinational enterprise’s EDI or business process automation systems.
Strong understanding of data integration technologies, middleware solutions, and data mapping tools.
Presenting and selling to Executive level prospects and clients; excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic rapidly changing environment
Strong project management skills including follow through and ability to see projects to completion without significant oversight required
Ability to take a concept, internalize it, rally others around, drive its implementation, and identify ways to continuously improve it
Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug screen upon hire
