The challenge
As a System and Network Administrator, you will be part of the IT team that works from the office in The Hague for all Dutch and international branches. You will do this mainly from our office in The Hague, from home and sometimes you will travel to one of our locations. Together with your colleagues, you will ensure the further professionalization of our services and the implementation of quality improvements. As a team, we attach great importance to a customer-oriented and service-oriented attitude.
Your Responsibilities Include
Together with your direct colleagues, you are responsible for the technical infrastructure, control and application software of approximately 750 workstations of your national and international colleagues.
Our environment consists of virtualized servers (VMWare) in a data center in combination with Office365 (SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, etc.) and Azure. If a new office is added, you and your colleagues will take care of connecting this location and making the data available.
We are working on several challenging projects, including SharePoint/Teams implementation, completion, digitization and automation of our processes and implementation of a new ERP system.
You know how to use your technical knowledge to maintain our IT infrastructure as optimally as possible. You advise on (complex) ICT issues, such as the aforementioned SharePoint implementation. In these types of improvement projects, you participate as a team member. You solve problems and malfunctions - 2nd and 3rd line tickets - and also take care of the installations and possibly configurations of third-party software. With a view to professionalization, you are also able to translate processes into manuals and, together with the team, you ensure that our IT intranet site provides the information that our colleagues expect from us.
This is you
You are an enterprising and analytically strong IT professional with broad experience in a small but driven team.
You have preferably gained your experience in system and network management in an environment in which you have been looking for the right solution yourself. You don't choose the beaten path and can deal with an environment where your ideas are needed to bring structure. As a result, you also have extensive experience in managing, delivering and implementing improvement plans for the network environments and the associated security.
You have knowledge of Windows Servers, SharePoint, Office365, VMWare, HP/Aruba switching/WiFi en Fortinet Routers/Firewalls/WiFi/Switches.
You are a good listener, you are service-oriented, you can act as an advisor and you dare to express your opinion, which is precisely how you achieve the best result, even if this may mean that you encounter resistance.
You are eager to learn, can take a beating and find humor and fun an important part of your work.
Moreover, you have experience with information security and know how to convey this to your colleagues.
You are good in communicating in English.
