Introduction
The Core Infrastructure team at Stater is dedicated to advising, implementing, managing, and optimizing the technical infrastructure supporting Stater and its clientele. Our responsibilities span over 3,500 virtual servers, forming the backbone of business-critical systems.
Who are we?
Who is Stater? You might not have heard of us before, so we would like to explain what we do. At Stater, we develop and deliver mortgage services and platforms for external lenders. With our products and services, we manage 40% of the mortgages in the Netherlands. Working with us means working in an organization that is at the heart of society, with products that (indirectly) affect many Dutch families. Our clients include major Dutch banks and other lenders.
What will you do?
As a senior DevOps engineer in our team of 8 FTEs, you'll be pivotal in steering our technical operations toward a more automated and DevOps-centric approach. Your role is essential in refining our infrastructure management, integrating advanced development skills to automate processes, boost system reliability, and streamline workflows.
Your typical day begins with a morning stand-up, laying out the day's priorities. You'll be deeply involved in pioneering projects that reflect our commitment to automation and DevOps principles while handling traditional admin tasks. Your main focus will be on monitoring and optimizing storage systems, but since storage is never standalone you need broad infrastructure knowledge.
In this senior role, you'll lead by example—initiating and driving projects that not only improve but also transform our operational capabilities. You'll be brainstorming future enhancements, collaborating on technical designs with the team, and executing plans to fruition. Your expertise in development will be crucial for automating our processes, thereby increasing efficiency and reliability across our operations.
Operational tasks will include optimizing monitoring systems, troubleshooting incidents, and addressing advanced support requests. Your proactive approach to infrastructure management and automation will ensure not just problem-solving but also problem prevention.
Additionally, your participation in an on-call rotation underscores your key role in maintaining operational continuity, providing the expertise necessary to address critical issues swiftly and efficiently.
This position is ideal for a dynamic individual eager to apply a comprehensive skill set toward transforming our infrastructure into a more automated, efficient, and DevOps-aligned operation
