**Position Description**
We are currently seeking a Financial Accountant to join our Benelux entity based in Amersfoort. You will have a broad role, responsible for daily finance activities, accurate and timely monthly and annual closings, and external reporting such as VAT and Intrastat. As a key partner of the Finance Manager and CFO, you will participate in projects related to regulatory changes and new products.
**Responsibilities:**
- Manage and control the general ledger (using Exact).
- Handle daily finance tasks including bank processing, incoming invoices, and outgoing payments.
- Responsible for the monthly and annual closing and reporting for the Belgian and Dutch entities, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and analysis/explanation of all significant P&L and balance sheet items.
- Handle VAT and Intrastat declarations.
- Process fundings as part of our leasing activities (in SAP).
- Prepare vendor reports for Sales and Paris headquarters.
- Prepare financial statements for central entities and provide input for corporate tax filings.
- Support and back up the Financial Manager regarding monthly reporting to headquarters.
- Act as a sparring partner for Sales on vendor reporting, VAT issues, and payments.
- Initiate and independently coordinate projects to improve processes, internal controls, and the quality of the Finance organization.
- Provide financial insights based on (ad-hoc) information needs.
**Candidate Profile:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Taxation.
- Strong knowledge of accounting and VAT.
- Accurate with strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Effective communicator with various stakeholders such as Sales, Operations, clients, vendors, and auditors.
- Independent, loyal, eager to learn, and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with Exact preferred.
- Fluent in Dutch and English. French is a plus.
- Engaged in projects, contributing to efficient operational and information processes.

- Salary range: EUR 40,000 - EUR 50,000 based on a full-time contract, depending on education level and relevant experience.
