At Microsure we're looking for a Chief Technology Officer to join our team.

At Microsure in Son - Eindhoven area - we are developing a new first-of-a-kind microsurgery robot. By reducing the tremor and scaling down the movements of the surgeon, we can for example (re)connect extremely small blood and lymphatic vessels. This is extremely important for example when performing breast reconstruction surgery.
WHY WE NEED YOU
The Chief Technology Officer is an important role within Microsure. The key purpose is to own Microsure’s Technology Roadmap, and lead all mechanical, electrical and software development activities needed to realize this roadmap.
YOUR KEY TASKS
Define and execute the company's technology roadmap in alignment with business objectives, market demands, and regulatory requirements.
Lead the research and development efforts to design, prototype, and commercialize next-generation surgical robotic systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and safety.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the technology team, empowering individuals to push the boundaries of what's possible and pursue breakthrough advancements.
Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including industry partners, and regulatory agencies, to drive adoption, validate technologies, and ensure market relevance.
Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in robotics, artificial intelligence, mechatronics, machine learning, medical devices, and healthcare, leveraging insights to inform product development and strategic decision-making.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, regulatory affairs, and operations, to drive alignment, accelerate execution, and deliver exceptional results.
Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance productivity, quality, and scalability across the organization.
Represent the company in industry forums, conferences, and publications to showcase technological achievements, thought leadership, and competitive differentiation.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the technology team, encouraging experimentation, learning from failures, and driving process efficiencies.
YOUR PROFILE
You are an involved Chief Technology Officer who likes to get things done in a friendly, hardworking, international start-up / scale-up environment.
PhD or Master's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field;
Minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience in research and development of complex robotic systems in the medical device industry or other highly regulated industries such as automotive;
Proven track record of successfully leading multidisciplinary teams in the development and commercialization of innovative technologies from concept to market;
Deep technical expertise in robotics, mechatronics, control systems, computer vision, artificial intelligence, and/or human-machine interaction;
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, quality management systems, and standards applicable to medical devices, such as ISO 13485, FDA QSR, and CE Marking - or other highly regulated products;
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences and build consensus among stakeholders;
Entrepreneurial mindset, with a passion for driving change, taking calculated risks, and challenging the status quo to achieve ambitious goals;
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, navigate ambiguity, and deliver results under pressure;
Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken);
Enthusiasm for working in a start-up / scale-up environment with dynamic requirements;
Positive attitude, integrity, flexibility, can-do mentality;
