This role is to support the development of the Partner Program (marketplace business model), a sales channel for our Digital Partner Commerce (DPC) business in Europe.
The Sr. Platform Trading Manager will be instrumental in leading and driving the growth of our live partner businesses within Gated Outlet accounts and other selected marketplaces.
This role requires demonstrated expertise in account management in the sporting goods industry, knowledge of eCommerce and a solid merchandising and commercial foundation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and drive the digital development of the defined Partner Program account’s web shops across Europe, seeking to optimize our brand representation, consumer experience & ultimately growing net sales & market share.
Executing on the trading and service framework across respective Outlet & Marketplace account(s), establishing detailed Platform Trading processes for existing and future partners.
Working closely with the Director Platform Trading to define Gated Outlet proposition in Europe including ranging strategy, consumer experience enablers, forecasting, reporting and active in-season management.
Responsible for knowing the consumer, category, channel, competitor, and macro-economic country situation for partner program key account categories. This includes the European retail and eCom environment in distribution, share of buy, competitor ranges and pricing.
Support the integration of new strategic account in close collaboration with the Business development team.
Support the development of category plans in close collaboration with Director Platform Trading, Factory Outlet, Assortment Planning and European BU teams.
Day-to-day responsibilities include
Acting as the lead account interface post account go-live for Partner Program Gated Outlet partners.
Define the account strategy for respective Partner Program accounts under your responsibility in close alignment with Platform Trading Director.
Working closely with the Factory Outlet Buying & Assortment Planning teams to ensure volume forecast provision and range selection of most relevant products for Gated Outlet partners.
Collaborating with Wholesale Clearance teams to drive x-channel integrated strategy for defined Gated Outlet accounts.
Drive awareness and understanding of Partner Program Gated Outlet proposition amongst key stakeholders including Factory Outlet, Business Units, Excess Inventory Management teams.
Represent assigned accounts internally towards all functions, ensuring aligned and effective collaboration across the end-to-end Platform Trading process.
Support the definition and implementation of all Platform Trading reporting, bringing together Wholesale and eCom data to drive brand and commercial success.
Drive in-season management and day to day operations of all live accounts under your responsibility including discount and pricing decisions.
Lead business planning and financial forecasting process for live Partner Program accounts under your responsibility.
Identify and chase growth opportunities in Outlet and Clearance ecosystem through Partner Program.
Pro-actively manage all business KPIs linked to order fulfilment and inventory management, e.g. Availability rate, net sales, standard margin, Operating Profit, cancellations etc.
Partner closely with Platform Operations and Business Development teams to facilitate the seamless set up and launch of new account business.
Lead team of 2 FTEs working on Gated Outlet and Partner Program only marketplaces to ensure business success.

Able to participate and confidently provide quantitative and qualitative input in investment review.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to present and map complex business solutions and processes (interest in technical and business eCommerce projects a must).
Comfortable working in an international environment.
Fluency in English is required.
Education And Experience / Minimum Qualifications
BA / BS in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics or related field (MBA preferred)
Minimum 5-7 years professional experience (demonstrated experience in merchandising eCom & retail) alongside account management, business development or finance is a key requirement.
Progressive leadership experience in the sporting goods industry is a requirement.
