The Amstel Hotel is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Finance Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the hotel, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial transactions and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with the Director of Finance in the development of budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee the processing of invoices, expense reports, and payments. Manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection and accurate recording.
General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded. Perform regular reconciliations of accounts.
Audit Support: Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Cash Management: Monitor cash flow, prepare cash flow forecasts, and manage banking relationships.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards. Stay updated with changes in financial legislation and best practices.
Team Collaboration: leading the financial operational team. Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support. Assist in training and mentoring finance staff.
Qualifications:
Experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
