About Tencent Overseas Finance Center
Tencent Overseas Finance Center is a comprehensive financial management team that serves the globalisation strategy of Tencent. It aims to build a global financial infrastructure to help businesses successfully expand internationally and operate in compliance. In gist, the team manages a wide array of responsibilities which includes but not limited to,
Entity financial management;
Business partnership with overseas business teams;
Financial planning and analysis;
Finance system and process optimization;
Overseas policy and compliance.
Position Overview
As a Corporate Controller and a key team member of Tencent Overseas Finance Center, you will supervise the local accounting, local tax, and other financial-related functions, including but not limited to, localizing the financial policies, performing financial risk assessments, and prepare annual budgets and forecasts. He/she should possess good knowledge of local compliance and common practices, and to be a quick learner as the business expands its footprint to different countries. to Manage the financial compliance operations of European and Middle East entities, and coordinate with business teams and group finance teams to establish local procurement, payment, fund management, financial compliance, post-investment financial management and other processes.
Responsible for the annual budget management of the assigned overseas entities, and track budget implementation and rolling forecasts, and timely early warning; analyse and evaluate specific business operations, key projects and resource, and assist business teams for decisions with local perspectives.
Responsible for identifying the process optimization opportunities and driving the process changes across budget management, FP&A, entity financial management and other systems.
Responsible for localising SOPs of the Group across the region while synchronising with the headquarters.
Requirements:
Degree in Accountancy / Finance; Professional Chartered Accountant membership would be highly advantageous
At least 5 years of relevant experience in large multinational companies in the Internet / Technology industry is preferred.
Good knowledge of European finance compliance, including with banks, tax bureaus etc
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate with different teams worldwide. Proficiency in Chinese Mandarin is an advantage but not mandatory.
