Financial Controller
Based in Stroe, the Netherlands

The financial controller has overall responsibility for the coordination, monitoring, reporting and analysis of the legal entity’s financial statements. To ensure this, the legal entity controller is responsible for implementing and supervising structured interactions with all relevant stakeholders: BU account manager, other financial control teams, Financial Shared Services, internal and external auditors.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee and execute finance actuals, closing, and reporting activities for assigned reporting unit(s) to ensure timely delivery and accuracy.
Ensure compliance with dsm-firmenich Accounting Rules, international, and local statutory accounting standards to maintain integrity of financial statements and management report.
Monitor the Balance Sheet, conduct financial variance analysis, and address open items to ensure financial stability and accuracy.
Review integrity and quality of all sub ledgers, including balance reconciliation, to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Actively oversee the financial closing process, lead pre-close meetings, define and implement mitigation actions to address issues, and drive improvements to meet defined deadlines and ensure correctness of actuals.
Execution and supervision of A/P, A/R, Assets and General Ledger accounting.
Point of contact for the Finance Business Partner & direct contact to budget holders to support budgeting and forecasting process.
Support Management Reporting BG/BU, Monthly Reporting Deck Forecast/Actuals and Cashflow + ROCE (ROE / DEBT / EQUITY).
Prepare planning figures (e.g., based on Top-Down Guidance).
Responsible for (and analyses on) product costing, variance analyses manufacturing performance, Inventories, CAPEX and first line analyses and insights for actuals, forecast and budget and for setting up relevant allocation cycles in SAP.

Based on your experience we will offer you a base salary of € 57,829 to € 82,613 per year (including holiday allowance and 13th month) and extra benefits, such as 25 holiday days, a bonus, the option to buy more holiday days with a 6,11% my choice budget and much more.
You Bring
(post) Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Accounting/Financial Controlling, and/or licensed certified public accountant;
Minimum of 4 years of experience in multinational companies, focusing on international financial issues and budgeting.
Proficiency in SAP and/or SAP4Hana system.
In-depth understanding of Finance and Accounting processes.
An ambitious and talented team player, who drives the change within the organization.
Fluency in English and Dutch.
