As our new Senior Business Controller R&I, you are the key financial business partner to the MN&S (Medical & Nutritional Sciences) R&I SVP, board of directors and the cross-site teams to challenge and animate our global strategy, ensure reliable forecasting, cost control and governance.
You will be part of the Global R&I Finance team based in Utrecht, reporting to the Head of R&I Finance in Utrecht and managing 1 Business controller R&I.
In your role you will
Business Controlling R&I
Effectively manage the rolling forecasting process of the MN&S team in Utrecht, France and Singapore
Monitor, analyze and communicate monthly results which lead to identification of Risks and Opportunities and influence actions to address.
Act as a business partner towards the budget managers and build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
Manage reporting process (month end, RF) ensuring reliability, transparency, and accuracy.
Provide all necessary controlling analysis including variance analysis, R&I Project cost control monitoring.
Identifying opportunities for financial innovation within the organization.
Act as a business partner towards the R&I and Finance community
Perform portfolio analysis to ensure balanced pipeline strategy (short, mid, and long-term) with clear return on investment in close collaboration with the Strategy Portfolio team.
Monitoring and improving process of current and future grant & subsidy reporting in close collaboration with Snr Partnerships manager and Global tax team
Collaborate closely with the R&I procurement team to find opportunities for streamlining supplier selections and identify efficiencies and work with controllers across the different sites and teams
Maintain and improve the forecasting process of OPEX through the R&I Portfolio management tool (Iproview) for optimum prioritization/resource allocation to support decision making process.
Ensure financial awareness & clarity to the MN&S R&I teams by building a strong relationship with the MN&S community.
About You
As a Senior Business Controller R&I, you bring extensive experience to our finance team. You thrive in dynamic environments and have strong motivation for continuous improvement. You exhibit strong leadership qualities. You are a good communicator, reliable, able to challenge situations, understand stakes and complexity. You act with resilience in an uncertain environment and stakeholders and have strength of proposal.
Furthermore, you have
A minimum of 5 years of business controlling experience
Fluency in English (written and oral)
Good knowledge of IT tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP, Power BI...)
