Job Description
To start with, the position of Business Controller (SC) sits comfortably in the Global Group Control Department. An incredibly diverse team that helps each other learn, grow and develop. Just how we like it! As a Business Controller you will be asked to be the financial business partner to Central Function (HQ) teams, and Financially responsible for P&L below GP, Balance Sheet and Operating Working Capital and Business partner to Supply Chain. Other Central Function could be expected from the Business Controller, like; Marketing, HR, Facilities, R&D and Supply Chain.
Reporting
For this, we don’t just need you to be a knowledgeable professional but also strongly rely on your interpersonal skills as well as your drive for success. Know that you’ll have a crucial role in creating and protecting the impact we look for in our value chain. With this said, we like you to take responsibility over the following tasks:
Responsible for monthly financial and management reporting for complete P&L, Balance Sheet and Operating Working Capital., both internal and external, and related period-end-closing activities like analysis of results and balance sheet items.
Responsible to provide on time reports. Correct, timely and accurate delivery of financial management reports.
Be the driver for compliance with specific cost management, PO and analytics tooling.
Planning & Control
Prepare the annual operating plan, following the deadlines and instructions provided centrally and in an accurate way.
Monthly forecast review with the budget owners responsible of primarily Supply Chain and potentially other departments.
Business partner for budget owners, proactive with the business thinking along with them to come up with improvements in the processes.
Strong coordination with the Vendor Management team to align on costing and potential saving opportunities.
Responsible for proper balance sheet management, in line with the relevant internal and external accounting and reporting guidelines in coordination with the financial controlling team.
Interpreting and applying the Finance instruction provided by corporate to compliance with Corporate Policy and roles
People Management & Projects
Participate/lead (cross-)functional, local as well as international projects.
Be a high performing finance professional through strong coordination skills with budget holders, other business controllers and financial controllers.
Act as a linking pin between departments and the controllers team - ensure cross-functional alignment.
Qualifications

Given the nature of the role we feel it's important for you to have a certain level of seniority/ experience as well as a solid understanding of your own added value. We thrive in diverse teams and look for people that appreciate that as much as we do. We can give you a list of “must haves,” however that’s not how we view your candidacy. We do, of course, take into consideration how much experience you have within Finance and minimum 8-10 years of working experience with an affinity for IT, but ultimately, we look at the bigger picture. but ultimately, we look at the bigger picture. But to give you a bit of guidance as to what we feel is needed in this role, we’ll share our “nice to have” list with you:
Minimum +5 years relevant working experience, preferably in similar IT Business Control roles.
Strongly analytical and experienced business modelling (financial and non-financial)
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Experience with Stakeholder Management.
Strong understanding of (commercial) business acumen.
