The role
We’re looking for data center L3 IT technician to troubleshoot and solve data center IT hardware issues. Expert position, it’s the bridge between L1/L2 support lines, SRE/devops, hardware RnD and vendor.
You’re welcome to work in our office in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Your responsibilities will include:
Solve the most challenging technical firmware and hardware related issues with servers, involving in-depth knowledge of system architecture, network configurations and advanced troubleshooting
Take charge of Problem management, workarounds and solutions
Create SOP documents and processes for working with IT hardware for L2 support
Collaborate with L1 and L2 support, Incident manager and R&D to improve our own produced hardware, solve issues
Improve support processes, documentation and training materials
Go to data center to localise issues, get logs, communicate with R&D and vendor
We expect you to have:
Knowledge of data center, server and network equipment
Deep knowledge and practical experience solving issues with IT hardware
Skills of repairing electronics at the component level (SMD)
Advanced skills working with the Unix operating system and command line
Experience with MS Excel (pivot tables, formulas, lists, graphs)
Proactiveness and sense of responsibility
High proficiency in spoken and written English
It will be an added bonus if you have:
ITIL and/or PMI Certification
Driving license type B
Knowledge of Russian
